Graveyard Keeper 2 Restoration Kits: Every Kit, What It Builds and How to Automate It
Rebuilding the Town in Graveyard Keeper 2 runs on kits: Building, Wooden and Iron kits first, then Furniture, Sculpture and Marble ones. Below: how each kit is made, what every shop and house costs, and how to hand the chain to a factory.
TL;DR — Restoration kits in six lines
- Shops bring traders and Town orders; houses bring Green Scrolls.
- Tier I kits: Building Kit I (Stone Kit + 1 Brick), Wooden Kit I, Iron Kit I.
- Cheapest Wooden Kit I: an Assembly bench with the Auto-hammer turns 1 Log into 4.
- Tier II kits need Assembly bench III, Smithy II and Special Wood, which only Harold sells.
- Shop Tier I costs 4/3/1, 6/4/2 or 8/6/3 Building/Wooden/Iron kits.
- Automate the Tier I chain first, then add marble and Special Wood lines.

How Town restoration works
The Town is rebuilt plot by plot. Walk up to a plot sign, open the menu and hand over the listed kits.
- Shops go on empty plots: 7 Merchant Stalls plots for the eight market stalls, and a Workshop Courtyard each for the four artisans (Builder, Smithy, Tavern, Brewery). Each shop opens a trader and Town orders.
- Houses are repairs. They pay Green Scrolls, which Linda turns into Town quality on Lust.
- Upgrades to Tier II and III need only materials and raise village reputation.
Every kit and how to make it
Before the kit recipes appear, build the factory basics — build the factory line first — and research Houses Repairing, which unlocks Building Kit I.
| Kit | Station | Recipe | Mastery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stone Kit | Assembly bench I | 2 Stone → 1 | Building 2 |
| Brick | Kiln | 4 Clay + 10 Fuel → 6 | Building 3 |
| Building Kit I | Woodworking Workbench I (Tool Rack) or Assembly bench (Auto-hammer) | 1 Stone Kit + 1 Brick → 1 | Building 5 |
| Wooden Kit I | Woodworking Workbench I | 3 Wooden Plank + 1 Oiled Plank → 2 | Building 5 |
| Wooden Kit I | Assembly bench I (Auto-hammer) | 1 Log → 4 | Building 3 |
| Iron Kit I | Iron Anvil | 1 Iron Ingot → 1 | Smithing 7 |
| Iron Kit I | Smithy I (Hammer) | 1 Iron Ingot → 4 | Smithing 3 |
| Furniture Kit I | Woodworking Workbench II, or Assembly bench II (Drill press) | 1 Wooden Kit I + 1 Iron Kit I | Building 6 |
| Sculpture Kit I | Assembly bench II | 2 Stone | Building 6 |
| Marble Kit | Assembly bench II | 2 Marble | Building 6 |
| Glass Containers | Smithy I (Bellows) | 2 Sand + 1 Coal | Smithing 4 |
| Wooden Kit II | Assembly bench II (Drill press) | 1 Special Wood → 3 | Building 7 |
| Iron Kit II | Smithy II (Bellows) | 1 Iron Ingot + 2 Clay Molds → 4 | Smithing 5 |
| Building Kit II | Assembly bench III | 1 Wooden Kit II + 1 Marble Kit | Building 9 |
| Furniture Kit II | Assembly bench III | 1 Wooden Kit II + 1 Iron Kit II | Building 8 |
| Sculpture Kit II | Assembly bench III | 4 Marble | Building 9 |
Station choice matters: one ingot gives four Iron Kit I at a Smithy I with the Hammer but one at the Iron Anvil, and one Log gives 4 Wooden Kit I at the Assembly bench.
The guides disagree on stations: one dated written guide puts Iron Kit I at the Smelting furnaces and makes Building and Wooden kits from boards and nails; the table follows Wikily's recipe pages. Both agree that Houses Repairing costs 45 red + 10 green tech points and needs Stone Polishing and Brick Making first.

Why upgrade: from Tier I to III a trader's daily earnings go 20 bronze → 50 bronze → 1 silver and its weekly Likes cap 8 → 16 → 25. Upgrades also add Town orders (20 boxes at Tier II, 30 at III). The Vegetable Stand's cabbage and onion come from your garden — see farming & fertilizer.
House repairs and Green Scrolls
| Repair | Kits (one of the listed sets) | Green Scrolls |
|---|---|---|
| Repair Small House | 4 Building Kit I, 3 Wooden Kit I, 1 Iron Kit I | 1 |
| Repair House | 6 BK I + 4 WK I + 2 IK I · or 20 BK I + 10 WK I + 6 Furniture Kit I · or 30 BK I + 10 Wooden Kit II + 4 Sculpture Kit II | 3 |
| Repair Large House | 16 BK I + 8 WK I + 4 IK I · or 20 BK I + 10 WK I + 6 FK I · or 30 BK I + 10 WK II + 4 SK II | 10 |
| Repair Block | 16 Building Kit II, 10 Furniture Kit II, 5 Sculpture Kit II | 25 (one of the five blocks pays 20) |
| Demolish the Wall | 1 Dynamite (Formulation Bench: 2 Explosive Dust + 1 Alcohol) | — |
Only two of the seven Large Houses use the 28-piece Tier I set; repairing Small Houses restores Homobonus.
Linda and the scrolls. On Lust, Linda at the Dockside Club trades scrolls for new people: first offers of 1, 3, 10 and 10 scrolls at 10, 10, 20 and 30 reputation with her, then any amount in lots of 1, 5 or 10 from 40. Each scroll adds 1 Town quality and raises the Likes limit. Open the Port Area milestone to make that Lust trip cheap.
Builder perk. With the Building perk Builder, each kit type in a Tier I shop or house repair has a 30% chance to refund 1 kit, up to half of that kit's cost.
Automating the kit chain
One creator's factory video builds every Tier I and II kit on belts:
- Inputs: logs, stone, sand, clay, coal, iron and marble, each on a belt with a buffer chest.
- Tier I: Assembly benches with the Auto-hammer for Wooden Kit I (from logs) and Stone Kits; Smithies for Brick, glass and Iron Kit I; an Assembly bench for Building Kit I.
- Furniture and marble: Assembly bench II with the Drill press for Furniture Kit I; another on marble for Marble Kits.
- Tier II: Smithy II for Clay Molds and Iron Kit II; Assembly bench III for Building, Furniture and Sculpture Kit II.
- Special Wood goes into a hand-fed chest beside an Assembly bench II (Drill press) for Wooden Kit II.
The same creator buys steel instead of automating it and ran the line at 93 power. Once Furniture Kit I is covered, that bench can switch to Crates for supply orders.
Staff each station with a zombie that has the right mastery; strong red-skull bodies make the best factory workers. Patch 1.007 fixed iron supply delivery quests getting stuck.
Selling: only the Builder (Building Kits) and the Furniture Maker (Wooden and Furniture kits) buy kits. Put surplus into houses or supply boxes for warehouse orders & crates.
FAQ
Q: What are restoration kits in Graveyard Keeper 2?
A: Crafted materials the Town's plot signs ask for: Building, Wooden, Iron, Furniture, Sculpture and Marble kits, in two tiers. Shop upgrades add a few trade goods.
Q: How do I make Building Kit I?
A: At the Woodworking Workbench I (with the Tool Rack) from 1 Stone Kit and 1 Brick, after the Houses Repairing technology. An Assembly bench with the Auto-hammer makes it too.
Q: Where do I get Special Wood for Wooden Kit II?
A: Harold sells it in conversation for 1 silver each. It can't be produced, so a kit factory has to be topped up with it by hand.
Q: What are Green Scrolls for?
A: Repaired houses pay them out. On Lust, hand them to Linda at the Dockside Club, and each scroll raises Town quality by 1, which lifts the Likes limit.
Q: How many kits does a Town shop cost?
A: Tier I is 4/3/1 Building, Wooden and Iron Kit I for the first five shops, 6/4/2 for the next five, and 8/6/3 for the Alchemist and Jeweler.
Q: Can restoration kits be automated?
A: Most of them. Tier I and most Tier II kits come from ore, stone, clay, sand, logs and marble. Special Wood has to be bought.
